WALK FOR PEACE USA
If you have been asleep for a couple of weeks, or on a ski vacation under three feet of snow, or living in your parents basement, you have not heard of the Monks from Texas walking over 1500 miles to Washington, DC. Well they are and they just came over the border from Georgia to South Carolina walking for peace. Horray for these 19 Monks and their street dog Aloka. I went out to get a few images in a rural setting and will also catch them again as they enter Columbia in a few days. Not particularly fine art, but a fun mission. Each one thanked this kneeling photographer as they walked by and I was certainly impressed by their chore and the great attitude of Peace they displayed. Wouldn't hurt any of us to take heed.

Aloka in the lead.

On the March.

While there were about 75 people along the this rural road (Rt. 278), these guys took a real interest in the Monks. The people were really interested, but even the cattle seemed struck by it all.
